The Rainmaker

In the fields of Kansas lies an old small town with a tight-knit community of friendly, helpful people. Recently, however, the hope of the townsfolk has begun to fade as the area has been struck with heavy droughts. It hasn't rained in months, and with temperatures only on the rise, the water supply is getting dangerously low.

But just when it seems like they can't take any more, a mysterious figure rides into town promising the rain they need... at a price. With a mystical power, he finally brings the rain. Upon getting their wish, however, the townsfolk refuse to pay what was promised. In response, the Rainmaker leaves the town while the rain stays.

A few days pass, and the town quickly overfloods. Homes are swept away by the storm. Many go missing. In the top room of the town chapel, the few that remain devise a plan to get the money that the Rainmaker wanted. With little resources left in the town, a brave group set out on makeshift rafts towards the city to make what they can before it's too late.
